bakelite base with transparent polycarbonate cover
and terminal cover
The
meter cover is made of unbreakable, full insulating, non-hygroscopic,
non-ignitable, UV stabilized transparent polycarbonate. It does not distort
under high temperature and is adaptable to its mounting in such a way it
prevents fraud by insertion of foreign bodies without leaving clues. The
transparent permits a clear view of the rotor and register. It also makes the
meter completely dust and moisture proof with no joints on the cover.
A
continuous solid neoprene gasket is provided in the cover groove which fits
tightly with the meter base to make it thoroughly dust and moisture proof.
The
fully insulating non-hygroscopic non-ignitable bakelite base with tight fitting
terminal block avoids any requirement of gaskets between the two. There are no
extra attachments to prevent trapping of moisture between the surfaces.
Special
continuous solid gasket is provided in in close tolerance cover groove to make
it dust and moisture proof and retard fraud by insertion of foreign bodies.
A
steel suspension hook is provided on the base. It is thus adjustable to
different affixing dimensions of the meter with a screw under it. The fixing
screws are inaccessible once the meter is installed. The meters are three point
triangular fixing type.
Three
back sealing screws are provided for sealing with cover, and two sealing screws
are provided for sealing the terminal cover.
The
size of transparent moulded terminal cover is extended to facilitate back entry
of cables. Meters with short terminal covers are also optionally available.

A
carrying handle can be fitted to the base if required.
