Black Bakelite casing with transparent polycarbonate window

The meter cover is fully insulating made of non-hygroscopic non-ignitable bakelite base. It does not distort under high temperature. The transparent window is moulded type made of unbreakable, UV stabilized transparent polycarbonate, and permits a clear view of the rotor and register. The window is permanently affixed to the cover to make the meter completely dust and moisture proof.

A continuous solid neoprene/polyurethane gasket is provided in the cover groove which fits tightly with the meter base to make it thoroughly dust and moisture proof.

The fully insulating non-hygroscopic non-ignitable bakelite base with integrated terminal block moulded into one solid piece avoids any requirement of gaskets between the two. There are no extra attachments to prevent trapping of moisture between the two surfaces.

Three back sealing screws for sealing with cover are provided on the base. Sealing is possible irrespective of the position of the terminal block cover. One sealing screw is provided for sealing the terminal cover.

The moulded terminal cover moulded from the same material and is extended type to facilitate back entry of cables.

Meters with short terminal covers are also optionally available.
